Poster Analysis 2

This is the poster for "+" by Ed Sheeran, the layout to it is simple as it just has the album cover in the middle with text at the top and bottom. The text at the top tells people the artist's name so the viewers will know who the album belongs to, then they have put the cover of the album in the middle because this is where most people will look on the poster so it is effective to have the main subject in the centre. The cover is orange because the artist is well known for having ginger hair, therefore they have used this as a selling point since it is something many people will recognise him from.
At the bottom of the poster it says what the album is and that it is available now, this gives people all the information they need to go and buy the product, and the fact that it was the U.K. number one album could make it sell even more because people will be able to see that it is popular. It also includes Ed Sheeran's website at the bottom, the website will sell other products by him so this will result in more sales and the artist making more money.

Change of Project

After filming for my short film for some time, my actor decided that he did not want to participate anymore therefore I either had to find a new actor or do a different project. I could not find an actor suitable for the film so I decided to change to a music video as this was one of my only options and it would be easier to create a music video than another short film in a smaller period of time because I would not have to worry about factors such as diegetic sound.

.mts Files

I originally thought that the higher quality option for the camera wouldn't be compatible with iMovie but due to updates on the programme .mts files now work so I don't have to download a third party file converter.

Improving Camera Quality

After doing test recordings I decided that I wasn't happy with the quality of the picture so I researched ways to improve it. From this we found out that AVCHD produced better video quality but the default setting was motion JPEG as it was more compatible with other devices and would take up less space on the SD card as you can see from the table above. I switched over to AVCHD to be able to record in 1080p as opposed to 720p.
